Brief History
TORRIDGE AUCTIONS was founded in 1987 by Margaret Price. Initially Sales were
held in the Bideford Pannier Market on a monthly basis.
In 1994 the
present premises were bought for a permanent Auction Room with ample storage
facilities where goods can easily be held until the next suitable Sale.
Over the past 15 years the Saleroom has been modified and improved to give a much better layout for Sales.
Sales
Our auctions will be every 2 weeks with every 3rd auction an Antique & Collectibles auction.
House Clearance
The House Clearance is the heart of our operation. We have a team who are
experienced in Sorting, Packing and Transporting items to the Saleroom.
If you
are left to deal with a loved ones estate, we can advise sympathetically on the
best way to dispose of all items to the best effect.
People often move from a
large house to a smaller one and have a number of items (often large pieces of
furniture) that will not fit in the new property, again we can help.
Other Auction Houses Please Note
In the interests of cutting all costs to the bone to maintain our level of
service we have for some years now printed our own Self-adhesive Lot Numbers
and have offered the service to other Auction Houses.
We are able to do this at
a very competitive price - less than a penny per label! If you are interested,
